About Me and this Blog

I’m Trevor. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and am 20 years old. I am currently attending university. My primary interest for the better part of my teenage years was foreign and classical movies. About a year ago my interest in exploring manga had peaked, which was caused by three books. These were Animerica: Interviews from the Early Years, and Frederik Schodt’s Manga! Manga! and Dreamland Japan. The latter books made it clear to me that manga was well worth taking seriously. However, unlike Schodt, I have more faith in the possibility of nuanced art in mainstream manga. This blog will be my record of thoughts and opinions on manga of all kinds, whether it be legimately published in North America or only available through scanlations. I am also interested in manhwa, OEL, and graphic novels in general.
